Client: Nonprofit geoscience publishing collaborative
Project Objective: Develop branding, advertising, and event collateral for two new industry-defining products launched under the GSW corporate umbrella: eBooks, the world's first multi-publisher platform for earth sciences, and OpenGeoSci, a map-based geoscience discovery platform.
Design Thinking: Developed distinct yet cohesive visual identities for two sub-brands, each with a palette that reflected the nature of the product. A clean blue palette anchored the eBooks brand, conveying the authority and depth expected of a first-of-its-kind academic publishing platform. Terra cotta and olive grounded OpenGeoSci visually in the earth and terrain the platform was built to explore. Both palettes were carried consistently from brand identity through advertising, collateral, and into the platform UI, ensuring users experienced a coherent visual system across every touchpoint.
