At White Flower Farm, working in the retail and online flower/gardening business means the holiday season, especially Mother’s Day, brings an influx of design-focused, deadline-driven projects. My Time at White Flower Farm:
I was initially hired as a full-time email designer, coder, and web content creator for White Flower Farm’s website and eCommerce products. Within my first year, I expanded my responsibilities to include garden walk photography and was swiftly promoted to lead photographer after showcasing my photography talent. In this new capacity, I took on the full scope of the company’s in-house photography needs, training a colleague to take over my role as email designer to now specializing in WFF product styling, and studio-to-location photography for catalog and website content. I was also responsible for overseeing every aspect of photo post-processing to ensure high-quality, polished images for all marketing materials, both print and digital.
Key achievements include my promotion to lead photographer, where I managed high-visibility projects, such as catalog cover photos, and contributed significantly to additional catalog photography.
My role evolved from an in-house position to a freelance-remote-hybrid model, granting me greater flexibility in delivering innovative creative solutions.
